Bill Herenda is no stranger to leadership and winning teams. Herenda was a key member of the 1988 University of Massachusetts Lowell NCAA Division II National Championship Basketball Team, which has subsequently been inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame and the University of Massachusetts Lowell's Athletic Hall of Fame. A three-year letterman at St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, NJ, he played under legendary coach, Jerry Halligan. As part of the University of California, Davis radio network broadcasts, Herenda provides color commentary. He also contributes as a basketball analyst on The Sports Fanatics on KSAC AM 1240 and The Rise Guys on KHTK AM 1140. Herenda's ties to athletics run deep as his brother in law is Ken O'Brien, legendary UC Davis and long-time New York Jets NFL quarterback. Active in the community, he is an alumnus of Leadership Sacramento. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Families First and The U.S. Fastball Association. Married to the former Mary Ellen O’Brien, the Herendas have three daughters, Bridget, Clare and Devin and reside in Sacramento, CA. |
